I don't know yet when I be able to do something about this. Until then you could try the following if you want: Install the latest Jaunty kernel package (2.6.28 based). Boot that kernel. Then, # modprobe -r ohci1394 # modprobe firewire-ohci # modprobe firewire-sbp2 Then plug in the drive and hopefully enjoy smooth operation.
