Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.27-11-generic
Hello,
after the upgrade to linux-image-2.6.27-11-generic this morning,
ethernet (driven by r8169.ko) has stopped working: it fails to get an
address from DHCP (can not even find the server via DHCPDISCOVER).
Booting back into 2.6.27-9 solves the issue.
Unloading the kernel module and reloading it with::
modprobe r8169 debug=16
results in the following lines appearing in syslog::

and the "eth0" interface is no longerto be seen with "ifconfig". (After
boot it is there, although non-functional.)
