Care to test the latest pre-release of the upcoming Jaunty 9.04
(currently Alpha3) - http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/jaunty/ . It
contains a newer 2.6.28 based kernel. I imagine you should be able to
test via a LiveCD. Please let us know your results. If the issue
remains, can you also attach the dmesg output after you notice the drop.
Also, attaching the output of 'sudo lspci -vnvn' would be great.
