Did you check bug 320639 which that other one has since been marked as a
duplicate of? There are also two others of interest listed in the bug,
it would be good if you can have a look through them. There have been
lots of problems with touchpads in the latest Jaunty updates, but
everybody seems to have a slightly different complaint about the
symptoms.
Since there should be enough information here, I'll mark this bug as
triaged so a developer can look at it. Thank you again for filing this
