I am invalidating this bug as it seems to be a case of a md superblock
on /dev/sda and /dev/sdb and its uuid being stuffed into mdadm.conf
somehow causing whatever to not 'CLAIM' the other raid partitions. After
removing the uuid belonging to the md superblock on sda and sdb from
mdadm.conf and rmmoding pata_it821x and the loading it back again, sda1
sda2 sdb1 sdb2 all appeared and I was able to assemble their respective
md devices.
