Booting from RAID5 should work according to
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.boot-loaders.grub.devel/8569, but
when I installed such a system, it just hung without ever making it to
the boot prompt. It looked as if it loaded grub from the MBR, but then,
of course, couldn't read the RAID partition.
