Public bug reported: Binary package hint: knetworkmanager
I'm using a fresh install of Kubuntu 08.10, with KNetworkManager version 1:0.7svn864988-0ubuntu1.8.10.3. When an ill-configured DHCP server informs a gateway IP that is outside of the subnet, no route is created (but one can normally "ping" the gateway). As a result, Internet access is blocked. I submitted this bug to network-manager developers, and this bug is already resolved. Unfortunately, the code used in Kubuntu is still old. Please read http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=569277 for details. I ask for an upgrade of KNetworkManager before the 09.04 release. ** Affects: knetworkmanager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- DHCP setup is not robust with ill-configured servers (no Internet access) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/323816 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
