Hello, I will like extend the information about this problem. I reinstall Linux Ubuntu 8.10 but now using the 32 bits version. The problem with de DVD persist.
After that I install the last version of Virtual Box, 2.1.2 and install OpenSolaris 2008.11 as a guest. And voila... OpenSolaris can show the contents of the DVD, but Linux continue without show the files (a folder in this case with the files)!! Really, I suppose that OpenSolaris have a more advanced DVD device driver that Linux Ubuntu 8.10 I attach to screen captures to show this situation. Best regards.
