Public bug reported: On my Dell Vostro 1500 laptop running Kubuntu Jaunty x64, some of the special-function keys do not properly work, even though their events can be detected by Xorg. These keys are Hibernate (Fn+F1), Battery (Fn+F3), the Media Back key, the Media Forward key, and the Media Stop key. All of these keys are detected in xev, and properly produce press and release events. I can even assign them to various functions using KDE. However, when I attempt to use them they simply do not work. Some other keys (for example the Audio Volume Up/Down/Mute, Media Play, and CD Eject (Fn+F10) keys) work just fine.
