Hi, I think this is a matter of Linux drivers, I think they are worse than
Windows drivers, probably because they have been made by invert engineering.
I am talking about bt848 tunner driver and about some cameras using gspca
driver.
May be there is nothing to do if manufacturers does not provide drivers or
hardware specifications.
I have bought a dvb TV tunner supported for Linux by its manufacturer,
they provide driver for Linux and the video quality in Linux is as good
as in Windows (R)(C)(TM), so I think this is not a general issue, it is
a issue for specific devices and their bad drivers for Linux.
** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
