I believe that this is a duplicate of Bug #311443.
Could you please try two things and report the results:
1) Run
$ screen.real /dev/ttyUSB0 115200
2) Comment out each line in ~/.screenrc-windows, then run:
$ screen /dev/ttyUSB0 115200
:-Dustin

running applications at startup doesn't work
