If I try the same now with kernel 2.6.27-11 64 bit I get a different error. The
method has changed very slightly as there is a new button displayed when I
preview the document to be printed. If I click on Close Preview and then close
gedit I get either of the following messages:
$ gksudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst
** (gedit:6068): WARNING **: Failed to create file
'/root/.gnome2/gedit/gedit-page-setup.J3PZOU': No such file or directory
** (gedit:6068): WARNING **: Failed to create file
'/root/.gnome2/gedit/gedit-print-settings.MUPZOU': No such file or directory
and
$ gksudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst
** (gedit:6103): WARNING **: Failed to create file
'/root/.gnome2/gedit/gedit-page-setup.RHFTOU': No such file or directory
** (gedit:6103): WARNING **: Failed to create file
'/root/.gnome2/gedit/gedit-print-settings.OLBTOU': No such file or directory
These messages are displayed in terminal as I close gedit.
