Public bug reported:
For some reason GNOME starts two volume applets. They don't appear to
be separate because if I right click on one it gives me the option to
(for instance) remove applet or lock applet. The other just gives the
options "Mute" and "Sound Preferences". They seem to be a mix of the
old volume applet and the new. The left applet has the old vertical
slider and the right volume applet has the horizontal slider.
I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 with all updates applied as of 4 Feb 2009.
