refdoc:
Your locale list includes ar_EG.utf8, but not ar_EG.
These are two different locales.
Please try:
# Create and install the ar_EG locale
sudo locale-gen ar_EG
# Test it
LC_ALL=ar_EG locale
I think this will fix your issue, which is not the bug described by the
submitter, but something else.
