I'm not a nautilus developer, either. I'm an end user. And I can tell you I don't want to pollute the preferences with options confusing and unneeded by most people.
However, you're trolling. It has been clearly stated here that you should either report this issue upstream or shut up. If you're too lazy to spend two minutes by registering on b.g.o, then this issue is not important even to you. And keep in mind: this is opensource.
