Thanks Adam, I am attaching 2 screenshots NOW: I also noticed that when
I MINIMISE a window, it stays, until I switch to another window (say,
firefox) the LAST USED window also DISSAPPEARS.- BOB KOOMANS Brisbane,

Which version of Ubuntu are you using? Programs like Firefox should be found in
the taskbar at the bottom of the page after minimizing.
Could you attach a screenshot of your screen before and after minimizing
Firefox?
