Here is the output of "ip route":
ol...@qwghlm:~$ ip route
192.168.1.0/24 dev eth0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.1.1 metric 1
169.254.0.0/16 dev eth0 scope link metric 1000
And this is the output of "ip route" on intrepid on the same computer,
using the same router:
[12:16:33]qwghlm:~> ip route
192.168.1.0/24 dev eth0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.1.1 metric 1
169.254.0.0/16 dev eth0 scope link metric 1000
default via 192.168.1.254 dev eth0 proto static
So, I don't think that this is a problem of the router, therefore I
guess that it has something to do with the dhcp client - or the kernel,
as you say.
I would be happy to help looking into the details.
