Thank you for reporting this bug and helping making ubuntu better. It is great
that you got to try many games and that you eliminated the possibility that it
is a KDE problem. Could you please upload the following information?
- /var/log/Xorg.0.log
- /etc/X11/xorg.conf if you made any changes to this
- the output of `lspci -vvnn`
Maybe you could try to experiment a little with options in the Device section
of xorg.conf and see if it makes a difference.
Option "AccelMethod" "UXA"
Option "AccelMethod" "XAA"
Option "Tiling" "false"
Option "FramebufferCompression" "false"
are things you could try.
