I find it strange that an update to the video driver should cause this, but
there have been some other problems with the upgrade to 2:2.4.1-1ubuntu10.3.
Other people have verified that it is this package by downgrading to the
previous version (which I think is 1ubuntu10, since 10.1 and 10.2 apparently
never made it out of the -proposed respository). Could you try the same? Also,
does it work well if you don't _use_ the driver, e.g. by adding the line
Driver "vesa"
to the Device section of your xorg.conf?
