Hrm.  On further examination, I do see:

        if [ -n "$IF_WPA_BRIDGE" ]; then
                WPA_SUP_OPTIONS="$WPA_SUP_OPTIONS -b $IF_WPA_BRIDGE"
                wpa_msg verbose "wpa-bridge $IF_WPA_BRIDGE"
        fi

I wonder if specifying it explicitly vs. implicitly as I propose should
be necessary.

When would you not want to use "-b $IFACE" when using "-i $WPA_IFACE"
and $WPA_IFACE != $IFACE?
