Unloading and reloading the snd_hda_intel module sometimes clears this. stopping and restarting all sound applications sometimes clears this without having to unload/reload the module. A ctrl-alt-backspace in X and relogin sometime fixes it.
Note: I see this with Debian unstable as well on 2.6.26-1-686 I expect the so-called 6-drive kernel module is not handling some input/output port detection correctly on init. I have stereo speakers connected to the back of the computer and other audio port are unused at present. -- choppy sound, /var/log/message full of 'kernel: ... hp_event' at same time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/288026 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
