I just debugged the very same issue in bug 268429, and got to the same result. acpi_fakekey opens the right device and writes to it, but nothing happens for e. g. "150" (KEY_WWW).
As written in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/AcpiSupportDeprecation, we can either fix the kernel to convert *all* ACPI hotkey events to input key events, or keep acpi-support around to do this conversion in userspace. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => Triaged ** Tags added: regression-potential -- acpi_fakekey stopped working for certain keycodes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/217504 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
