Public bug reported: Binary package hint: synaptic
Synaptic reported aptoncd could not be read and size was unknown (tags wrong). Distribution: 8.04.2 Hardy Date: 11 Feb 2009 email: [email protected] Burned APTonCD iso image file directly to DVD as soon as compilation of packages were processed and packaged into iso. CD-DVD had no errors in writing process. Used newly written DVD with APTonCD as main source repository for installation of packages, but while reading DVD within Synaptic, the process was halted due to above documented error, while trying to read repository packages for pending installation to target (non-networked) machine. Reburning of repository packages is not possible at this time. Source disk I created is only resource available for production installations that must be done for a project. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Request workaround/solution; need contents of DVD repository for production installation and deployment in many subsequent target computers. This project/process is halted until resolution is found. thank you. jerasimos n. mantas toronto on canada [email protected] ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Wed Feb 11 07:50:15 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.04 ExecutablePath: /usr/sbin/synaptic Package: synaptic 0.61ubuntu9 PackageArchitecture: i386 ProcEnviron: PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin LANG=en_CA.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: synaptic Uname: Linux 2.6.24-23-generic i686 ** Affects: synaptic (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- Synaptic reported aptoncd could not be read and size was unknown (tags wrong) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/328056 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
