Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.20

I'm using feisty and linux-2.6.20-2
The wireless hotkey is linked to the script in /etc/acpi/wireless.sh

basically it does echo -n {2|0} > /sys/class/net/eth1/device/power/state

this in feisty results in an error:
bash: echo: write error: Invalid argument

maybe this method is deprecated? I know that my card (ipw2200) has
/sys/class/net/eth1/device/rf_kill to control the radio.
Is this file common to every wireless models? if so, the script could easily be
changed!
