Public bug reported:
after installing the nvidia driver 96.43.09-0ubuntu1.1 for my geforce
420 go, ubuntu won't start up again, as the setup has changed all
occurences of "root (hd0,2)" in menu.lst in the automatic kernel list
with "root (hd0,0)". (i have 3 partitions, 1=xp, 2=swap, 3=ubuntu).
this happend the second time now.
note that it happened this time after installing,deinstalling,installing this
driver.
