Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-core
When running Ubuntu 8.10 (kernel 2.6.27-11-generic) the X server comes up OK.
If I start multiple instances of glxgears, Xorg will crash with an assertion
failure after 10-15 minutes.
This is happening on multiple machines, but all with integrated intel
graphics.
The primary machine I'm using is an HP-6730b, which has the Mobile Intel GM45
Express graphics chipset.
Here's a stacktrace from one crash:
