Thank you very much for reporting your problem. This helps to improve
Ubuntu. However, is it possible that your internet connection or
something related to it (for example a router) can cause these trouble?
Maybe, there is something which runs periodically and consumes a huge
amount of bandwidth? Maybe there are other devices in your network which
could consume bandwidth from time to time? As you see, there are several
other reasons which could slow down the access. Maybe try to:
- open other websites when this happens and see if this is also slow
- try to ping google (=> ping google.com)
- make a traceroute to google (tracepath google.com)
Please let us know if this happens again and attach the output of the
last two commands.
