I can confirm that this is happening in 9.04a4 (64-bit) as well. It's very frustrating... You can't mouse over items in the View, Insert, Format, or Table menu without the program crashing. Hovering over items in the File, Edit, and Help menus works fine - which means this is *not* the same as bug 263441.
