I have a thinkpad X30 that was working perfectly with Ubuntu 6.06. When I upgraded the distribution to Ubuntu 8.04 it begun to freeze after a few moments of working and it is totaly nonresponsive(ie. I could only restart by the power button).
I still have a previous kernel (2.6.15-53-386) on Grub, so I chose it and the computer works fine. I will try to colect some log files tomorrow, but I don't know wich ones are relevant, so if anyone would give some pointers I would apreciate. -- thinkpad x30 freezes up a few minutes after bootup. can only hard shutdown.
