I'm on acpi-support 0.119 and pm-utils 1.2.2.4-0ubuntu2 When I'm on battery I hear very frequently the spin down noise. I bought my new laptop 1 month ago and the load cycle is 5180. Do you think I suffer this bug?
Now I set up /etc/laptop-mode/laptop-mode.conf using ENABLE_LAPTOP_MODE_ON_BATTERY=0 (it was 1 before) I have a question to ask: how can I see the -B value of my disk with hdparm? I only know how to set it, but not how to get the current value. Thanks for the informations -- High frequency of load/unload cycles on some hard disks may shorten lifetime https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/59695 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
