I was working under Ubuntu (filesystem ext3), but the file is located in
windows partition (filesystem fat32).
I just reproduced the problem by creating a very simple file (named test.odp)
in OO3 Impress in Ubuntu and the folder is also in linux partition (ext3).. yes
it worked fine. I can save as by changing the first letter of the file name
from lower case to upper case. I have two files in the ubuntu folder: test.odp
and Test.odp.

I created another file in windows folder (named test.odp) then saved as
Test.odp, a message poped up "The file already exists. Overwrite?", then
I replied yes. It looked Ok and not crash (but last time it crashed in
my file contained pictures and formulas). When I looked at the folder, I
found only 1 file with the same name test.odp.

My reason why I use windows folder partition is I was a windows user. So
I keep maintaining my file management in that partition. I did not
realised I will found a problem like this.
