Public bug reported:

I seem to have uncovered a repeatable way to hang or crash (I've seen
both) the kernel.

I have an edgy eft install on a 2-opteron x86_64. uname -a:

Linux tyan-spaceheater64 2.6.17-10-generic #2 SMP Tue Dec 5 21:16:35 UTC
2006 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I startup x11vnc. I connect to it. Soon, the machine will be utterly
unresponsive. Sometimes it reboots, but usually it just sits there,
mute. the VT key sequences don't work, so it's a lot worse than just X11
having gotten stuck. I have to reset it.

I have no idea how to extract better diagnosis out of this, but I'll
entertain requests.
