This problem is now fixed on both my laptop and desktop. No really sure which
package fixed it. I first noticed it on my
laptop as I reload it daily. I think laptop got fixed like 2-3 days ago. Then
today on office I tried to restart gnome-terminal,
problem was not fixed, fonts were not semicondensed, but after restarting X (no
reload) problem was gone in office too.

Can't set 'xterm' like bitmap fonts (not really gnome-terminal issue, can't
figure out proper package to report to)
