Yes, the bug is still present with Ubuntu 8.10 and Nautilus 2.24.1 / gvfs 1.0.2-0ubuntu2, and it's easy to reproduce. If you have a ssh access to a server with a ftpd (Debian's proftpd 1.3.1-17 in my case), you can try these commands :
mkdir " test1" <= with a space at the beginning mkdir -p "test2/.directory with a dot" <= with a dot at the beginning Now, connect you to the ftpd with nautilus and try to delete these two directories. You will obtain errors in both cases, while that worked well with gnome-vfs. -- Unable to remove folders which contains tab characters on a ftp server https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228942 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
