Today I updated feisty, and all seems well except that apache2 and/or
php5 is broken now.
php seems to work fine on the console (php5-cli), however whenever I
attempt to access a php page via apache, it causes the apache process to
segfault. I've also noticed abnormalities such as /icons/ directory not
working, broken mime types, etc. So i can't really put my finger on
whether its php or apache or both.

The most major change I noticed was the upgrade from 5.1.6 (?? or was it *.4 or
*.2?) to 5.2.0 with php.
Any help on this would be muchly appreciated. If you need any further
