Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: bash

If you have a space or some other special character in your home
directory, then you'll see an error message when starting a shell. This
happens because there are missing double quotes at a line in
/etc/bash.bashrc

** Affects: bash (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
