** Description changed: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg After a fresh install of Ubuntu Jaunty alpha 3 (and after installing all upgrades), X.org started using the VESA driver instead of the ATI driver. X is correctly identifying the card (see the attached log file), but is not loading the proper driver. As of now, I have version 1:7.4~5ubuntu10 of X installed (the latest in the repo). + + [lspci] + 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation 82855PM Processor to I/O Controller [8086:3340] (rev 03) + Subsystem: IBM Device [1014:0529] + 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility M7 LW [Radeon Mobility 7500] [1002:4c57] + Subsystem: IBM Device [1014:0530]
