"I believe auto-updating is available as an option. It would not be the
default."

I know it is available as an option, provided by the unattended-upgrades
package. But it seems putting this dialog in front of the user everytime
there is an update is a way of pushing the user into actually installing
the updates. Or does it have a different purpose? If that is the
purpose, I think it would be a good idea to at least consider, and not
just saying we don't do that, auto-installing security updates instead.
