On Ubuntu Intrepid and older please run sudo hp-setup
from a terminal window and set up the printer with the program appearing then. On Jaunty simply start system-config-printer (System -> Administration -> Printing), click the "New" button at the top, and then set up your printer. You will automatically be asked whether you want to install the plugin from HP. Accept and the plugin with all firmware files gets downloaded and installed. Finish the setup wizard and your printer will work. -- Plug 'n print doesn't work for HP Laserjet P1005 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/289410 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
