After installing Ubuntu 8.10 (32 bit standard live install cd) and
- Ubuntu 9.04 alpha 4 32 bits (from alternate cd) i get similar issue.

After gdm start when i try to make first gdm login the keyboard freeze,
mouse and pc is still working good (i can access to it via ssh).
