Nicely managed Sebastien! newbies -steps to get the update: get to the console (ctrl-alt-f1) and log in. launch aptitude graphical package manager: "sudo aptitude" hit "u" to search for updates (you have to be online - plug in a LAN cable if available) hit "U" to mark all upgradeable packages hit "g" to start the upgrade When complete, log out and hit "ctrl-alt-f7" to get back to the login screen
