Same behaviour with 2.6.15-23-386 and 2.6.12-10-386, so I guess it was not due to recent update. Maybe this is just a 2.4.x.->2.6.x discrepency I never noticed before.
(yeah, confirmed same bug on co-workers gentoo box and random person in [EMAIL PROTECTED], definately an upstream bug in how procps is interpreting mem data from /proc or more accurately, failing to handle the change made in the kernel :)) The swap field in top is not enabled by default, so likely just an oversight and not many people care, so I will fix the code myself and submit the patch directly to the procps folks. Apparently I don't have the privileges to remove my own bug report, though. :) -- top displaying incorrect swap amounts https://launchpad.net/bugs/52819 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
