This looks like an X.org driver or kernel bug. Do you get the issue as well if you do normal user switching? Can you still ping the computer from another computer in the network (ping computername.local), and/or ssh into it (apt-get install openssh-server on the W500, then cause the lock, then "ssh [email protected]" from another computer)?
Can you please attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old and /var/log/kern.log immediately after a reboot (after it hung)? -- Selecting 'Guest session' from Fast User Switch applet locks up laptop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311984 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
