I run 9.04 x86_64, cpu is AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-58.

Confirmed that I've had and still have this issue as well. It just
resumes so poorly that it doesn't realize it's crashed.

I have altered the kernel parameters to add no_console_suspend; I also disabled
the splash-screen:
[ 0.000000] Command line: root=/dev/mapper/rootvolume ro no_console_suspend
crashkernel=384M-2G:6...@16m,2G-:1...@16m

I observe the following behavior, regardless of if KVM is loaded or not
(though if KVM isn't in place some sections are skipped over)

(These are hand written, I'll try network logging of kernel messages
sometime this weekend.)

KVM: disabling visualization on CPU 1
CPU 1 is now offline
SMP alternatives: switching to UP code

(This is where it first stops, I -have- to press any key to continue,
though I usually press enter.)

... saves to disc
PM: S|
ACPI: Preparing to enter system sleep state S4
Disabling non-boot CPUs

(It stops, I -have- to press any key to continue, though I usually press
enter.)

If KVM is loaded it'll do the KVM stuff another time then power off.

On system resume it loads the image back up, and you can switch between
consoles, but there is -massive- input lag if it displays anything at
all. I usually alt+ctrl+del without it seeming to respond, but one time
it actually did. X meanwhile if it loads the LCD is active, but
displaying pure black. No combination of keys seems to fix that.
Alt+Ctrl+Del is -not- apparently responsive (it might eventually work,
after a very long time), alt+ctrl+backspace has no effect at all, and
MagicSysctl REISUB is necessary, at least the RE part, alt+ctrl+del
worked in the past at that point.
