No, everything else looks fine. I also ran Evince and Firefox -- no font troubles there either.
It occurs to me that in the last several days I've been doing a certain amount of running things like Evince in the debugger. I don't understand exactly how Gnome works, but if Evince wasn't responding to the window system, perhaps that could cause some sort of stutter?
