Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-media
Release: 9.04 Jaunty
Packege: gnome-media 2.25.5-0ubuntu2
When I open gnome-volume-control (doesn't matter how), I see all
channels (Master, PCM, Front, ...) have muting control. When I open
alsamixer (commandline tool), it shows mute control only on some of
them.
alsamixer: PCM does NOT have muting control.
gnome-volume-control: PCM does have muting control.
When I mute PCM in gnome-volume-control, it mutes it. Everything is fine
to that point. But when I try to unmute it, nothing happens. It remains
muted. Icon changes to "unmuted", but that channel remains muted.
---------
gnome-volume-control should remember previous volume control. I'm not sure
whether it could be implemented inter-session.
OR better, I think, show muting control just on channel on which alsamixer does
so.
** Affects: gnome-media (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
