Public bug reported:
In Ubuntu 6.06 on G3 iBook ("dual USB" version, I believe), NTP syncs
correctly. However, Universal time is taken as local time and local
time is shifted accordingly.
Example: My timezone is America/New_York (GMT minus 5 hours). Local
time is 11:30. Universal time (GMT) is 16:30. However, system reports
Universal time as 11:30 and local time as 06:30.
I've worked around this problem by resetting my timezone to
Europe/London (GMT), which is not correct.
