This bug seems to be related to a race condition in the init scripts
when the reconnection to the NBD occurs.

This one has been fixed in 5.1.59 that's been released almost a month
after alpha-3.

Can you try to do this on your system and see if it fixes your issue:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo rm -Rf /opt/ltsp/*
sudo ltsp-build-client

That way you'll get the latest LTSP both on the server and in the
chroot. Then try again and see if the bug is still there.
If so, please attach more information as of the hardware that's being used.
