Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Pulseaudio crashes when I try to play something in Audacious. I have HDA Nvidia soundcard. This is what Pulseaudio says before crashing: E: alsa-util.c: snd_pcm_avail_update() returned value that is exceptionally large: 16140901064495856008 bytes (384307168193 ms) Most likely this is a Linux bug. Please report this issue to the ALSA developers. Soft CPU time limit exhausted, terminating. Hard CPU time limit exhausted, terminating forcibly. And this is what 'aplay -l' tells about my system: card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 0: CONEXANT Analog [CONEXANT Analog] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 1: Conexant Digital [Conexant Digital] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 3: NVIDIA HDMI [NVIDIA HDMI] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Jaunty] Pulseaudio crashes when playing something in audacious https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/332595 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
