Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Is this still an issue? If it is, can you try to
reproduce this using a fresh profile?:
1. Export the old addressbook.
2. Close Thunderbird
3. $ mv ~/.mozilla-thunderbird/ ~/mozilla-thunderbird_old
4. Startup Thunderbird an add an account again.
5. Try to reproduce.
6. Import the old Addressbook, try to reproduce.
